Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

Chewie Is Fast

March 1, 2008

My parents’ dog (okay, so he’s partly my dog too–I picked him out from CAP several years ago) is one fast mofo. I’ve always wanted to try to photograph him at the dog park (interesting, by the way, the number of digital SLR-toting dog owners you see cropping up there these days) and today was a great day to do that.

Chewie is simply (and by substantial margin) one of the fastest dogs I have ever seen. It is a lot of fun just to watch him run and to run circles around all of these other dogs, and he chases a lot of them tirelessly. Oh, and the picture of him baring his teeth is just him playing with the other pups … not that it doesn’t throw some people for a loop though …

Here are some of the better shots I managed …

My brother and dad have been teaching him to run the little obstacle course …

This last picture is one of my parents’ four (yes, 4) cats. He was first my sister’s cat before she went off to college. She originally named him Tarzan (he loves to climb things), but he has since been affectionally dubbed “Boo Boo” (he also loves to break things) and more recently, “Chubs” (he also loves to eat.) He is also the neediest, most annoying cat I have ever known, and I love cats, so I’ve known a lot of them. Oddly, unlike many animals, he is not at all camera shy.

I myself buy from and would recommend the following camera retailers to any one! They offer good prices and top shelf service. In particular, both Adorama and B&H are great resources for learning and I've always found their staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I'd so appreciate it if you use the links below to begin shopping; it won't cost you an extra cent but I'll earn a small commission which will allow me to spend more time answering your questions and helping others!
