Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

Reese, Lori, Jackson, Jonas … and Dexter

March 17, 2008

Reese is one of my closest friends going back … man, 7 years now? I first met his wife Lori when they were sophomores in college, only months into their new relationship together. Their two boys are the newest family members … and I’m not biased when I say they are two of the nicest, most pleasant and well-behaved kids (well, toddler and infant) I know … Dex is their English sheepdog.

I spent this weekend visiting them in Fort Worth, and we had a blast together shooting some family photos. As a photographer, there’s a lot I like about these shots, and there’s a lot I’m still learning to do from a technical standpoint and would improve upon “next time.” However, as a close family friend, I’m happy to have taken and to give them some pictures that capture their very fun and warm spirits.

This was one of the first shots I took … though the lighting was really bad, I like the overall “essence” of the shot …

Reese is actually a pretty phenomenal guitar player.

I myself buy from and would recommend the following camera retailers to any one! They offer good prices and top shelf service. In particular, both Adorama and B&H are great resources for learning and I've always found their staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I'd so appreciate it if you use the links below to begin shopping; it won't cost you an extra cent but I'll earn a small commission which will allow me to spend more time answering your questions and helping others!
