Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

In Memory

May 25, 2009

No matter what your political affiliation or your opinion of America or its politics, I hope you will join my wife and I today in remembering our fallen; the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for what they believed most in. Whether it be the safety of their family, the freedoms of their country or the lives of their comrades, I hope that we can all appreciate and remember the depth of their sacrifice.

And although “Memorial Day” is decidedly an American holiday, I hope that you will join me in observing the incredible loss experienced by husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters and friends who have given their beloved to war across the world throughout the course of history. I hope that we may each look forward to a day where we will not require or demand such bloodshed; a world that is shared by all of our fellow men and women without violence.

Columbus: Short North and the Arena District

May 9, 2009

In the short time I’ve lived here, I’ve already come to the conclusion that I really like Columbus … for a number of reasons. One of which is that it’s just a neat city.

As I’ve driven around, I can’t help but notice “man, that’s a cool looking building” or “that would be a great place to shoot engagements.” While I haven’t yet shot any engagements here in town, I finally got to shoot a little of Columbus today. Great weather, beautiful skies and the wife out of town for her sister’s bachelorette party? Sounds like a photographic afternoon to me!

Despite having a bad headache all day long, I got a few shots I liked … and I haven’t even hit up the Warehouse district, the Brewery district (this place will make you believe in beer) or historic Dublin yet!

Enjoy a few of my favorites from the Short North and Arena district:

Short North is home to a lot of unique attractions … one of which are some pretty amazing murals!
