Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our newborn son and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

Angie and Ryan : Engaged!

Posted on September 30, 2009

I love my job. :)

I first met Angie and Ryan at the Dayton Bridal Expo back in August and have been looking forward to working with them ever since.

After watching the crappy weather for an entire week, it let up just in time last Sunday, almost as if on cue. We met in the Short North for a drink and then spent a quick two hours shooting around the Short North and then finishing up in the Arena district. Fun. Times!

It’s a good thing when I have a really difficult time choosing my favorite pics to blog, but here they are:

Thanks to you both for a great afternoon … I can’t wait to celebrate with you on your big day together!

Ashley and Kevin : Married!

Posted on September 24, 2009

Ashley and Kevin were married at the Inniswood Metro Gardens this past Saturday. They celebrated with their loved ones in an intimate ceremony and it was quickly obvious that their easygoing, genuine and friendly personalities run in the family! And did I mention that the weather was absolutely perfect?

If there was one disappointment to the day, we were told, much to our surprise, that we weren’t allowed to take bridal portraits throughout the beautiful garden and grounds (rant for later on that.) Regardless, family and a love like this would still look great in front of a concrete wall :) and we came away with a few for the album. ;-)

Afterward, we headed over to the Brio in Easton for a celebratory dinner. And now, a few of my favorites:

Thank you, Ashley and Kevin, for the honor of photographing your wedding day! I wish you all the best and a lifetime of love together! :D

Dina of Scarlet City Events : A Few Details

Posted on September 10, 2009

Columbus area brides-to-be: if you haven’t met Dina Gesouras yet, I highly recommend you get to know her! Dina is a gifted wedding and event planner who offers both a laid-back, fun personality and broad experience with sharp attention to detail! If you and your fiancee would like to spend more time having fun with each other and less time coordinating your wedding, drop her a line or give her a call!

Speaking of details, we recently met at the Renaissance Marriott to shoot a few pictures for her new website. The following are just a handful of Dina’s original creations and a few of my favorite shots:

Love is sweet … right honey? (with the occasional sour patch lurking somewhere in the jar :D )

I actually liked the bouquet of roses better in a monochrome; it emphasizes their intricate texture and shape.

But I do love me some color …

Some really exciting things around the corner … I’m looking forward to a couple of engagement sessions and the first of several fall weddings since my wife and I moved to Columbus from Texas this past spring! Next year is already booking up quickly … if you think you might like to work with me, chances are good I’d love to work with you … drop me a line and we can talk about what you’re looking for in your photographer!
