Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

Kaylee and Eli : Engaged!

October 29, 2009

I met Kaylee and Eli in their hometown of Pittsburgh to shoot a couple of engagement photos. Unfortunately the weather sucked (and I did get physically struck by a car, but ignorant drivers on their cell phones are a rant for another day :D ) … but in spite of that, it didn’t stop them from making it an awesome shoot all the same!

As a photographer, it’s generally assumed that I’ll pose people for portraits – a little “turn this way, look over there” is expected. I loved that Kaylee and Eli took pictures naturally and that their genuine and fun personalities just shine through! Of course it helps that they picked out some great settings as well. :)

And now, without further adieu, a few of my favorites:

Did I mention the *great* settings? :)

I absolutely love this shot for three reasons. First, I was lamenting that there were no falling leaves, so Eli just grabs a handful off of the ground and throws them in the air. Second, and funnier than the effect, was that a couple leaves just came to a rest on their heads. Third and finally, you have to love Kaylee’s laugh :)

Loved shooting with you both, Kaylee and Eli, and thanks for a great evening in Pittsburgh! I can’t wait to work with you both on your big day together!

I myself buy from and would recommend the following camera retailers to any one! They offer good prices and top shelf service. In particular, both Adorama and B&H are great resources for learning and I've always found their staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I'd so appreciate it if you use the links below to begin shopping; it won't cost you an extra cent but I'll earn a small commission which will allow me to spend more time answering your questions and helping others!
