Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

A Little Piece of 750

April 19, 2010

aka, two photographers in search of something fun to shoot.

I hail from Houston, Texas and while there are some things I miss about my former life there, I was happy to leave behind the absurdly hot weather and boring, concrete landscapes.

My friend Coty (of Henry Photography) and I decided to meet for some dinner at B-Dubs and then shoot around for a few around the Powell area. These were the result.

While these photos aren’t going to win any awards, I very much enjoy the process of just shooting without a specific result in mind (well, mostly, there was one particular picture I wanted to get.) Just grab the camera and hit the road, see what there is to see!

In a sense this was an evening of the unexpected – I mean, it’s Powell, Ohio, so I know I’m not going to see any polar bears marauding about. But when I’m walking  along, I don’t really know sights what might jump out at me! :)

As a wedding photographer, I’m always working both to stretch my creative boundaries while doing what I am already pretty good at. It’s an at-times delicate balance and when it’s someone’s wedding at stake, I’m gonna err with the safety of my comfort zones.

Any way, I hope you enjoy and may you soon find yourself out with a friend, or a bunch of friends, or even just by yourself, shooting pictures of what strikes your artistic eye! :D

I myself buy from and would recommend the following camera retailers to any one! They offer good prices and top shelf service. In particular, both Adorama and B&H are great resources for learning and I've always found their staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I'd so appreciate it if you use the links below to begin shopping; it won't cost you an extra cent but I'll earn a small commission which will allow me to spend more time answering your questions and helping others!
