Abbey and Steve, Engaged | Cincinnati OH Engagement Photography
May 19, 2011
Easily one of my all-time favorite shoots! Abbey and Steve are super fun together and uber easy to work with, and Cincinnati is the kinda city I could shoot for days in. Fun bridges, buildings, backdrops and textures everywhere you look. (Bonus points for Steve for picking a few of the best.) These are a few of my faves:

There was this colorful piano just sitting underneath a bridge along the waterfront. Reason #129 I like shooting engagements: getting to know people! I didn’t know Abbey could play the piano, or that Steve could dance. I do now.

After we had wrapped up, I shot a few while I waited for AAA to come open my car … so I could retrieve my keys from the trunk. D’oh!

Can’t wait to see you both soon!

Rachel and Tommy, Engaged | Westerville Ohio Engagement Photography
April 21, 2011
Rachel and Tommy were in town this past weekend for a limited time and we had a narrow window to work with. And wouldn’t ya know it, the weather wasn’t looking good … I was glued to the Weather Channel’s website all day Saturday hoping the rain and cold might lift in time. In spite of the less than ideal temperatures, Rachel and Tommy braved the cold and looked great doing it. We met at Inniswood Metro Gardens for a brief half hour and then headed to Java Central in Westerville, where management were kind enough to let us shoot a few in their unique coffee house (great lattes, by the way!).
I love that these two can have fun together anywhere, anytime! And bonus points for being super laid back and so easy to work with. Here are a few of my favorites:

Thanks for a fun evening, Rachel and Tommy – very much looking forward to seeing you both again soon!

Sarah and Ryan, Engaged | Columbus (Short North) Ohio Engagement Photography
March 31, 2011
I really enjoyed shooting with Sarah and Ryan. They have a fun chemistry and, despite some initial hesitation about having their picture taken (a trait that, to this day, I totally relate to) they somehow managed to make it feel like the most comfortable, natural process in the world. We met at Cup O Joe (phenomenal lattes, by the way) and within a few minutes, I felt as if I was simply documenting a mid morning coffee date together. I’m already very excited to shoot their wedding this summer! Here are a few favorites from their engagement session in and around the Short North a few weeks back:

Thank you for a fantastic morning together, Sarah and Ryan – I look forward to seeing you again very soon!
Check it – a couple hundred more of Sarah + Ryan!

Faith and Dave, Engaged | Cleveland (North Olmsted) OH Engagement Photography
March 31, 2011
Although I didn’t catch her name at the time, I first met Faith when I photographed her cousin Sarah’s wedding …

So when she contacted me to inquire about her own wedding, I had a good feeling that she and her fiance, Dave, would make it a great time.
I met them in North Olmsted this January past for a few engagement pictures. Frankly, I’ve wanted to shoot in the snow ever since I moved to Columbus and they not only braved the cold; they looked great doing it.
Here are a quick few faves:

Thanks for a fantastic afternoon, Faith and Dave: I really look forward to your upcoming wedding!

Karlyn and Brian, Engaged | Columbus Ohio Engagement Photography
December 9, 2010
Karlyn and Brian are the kinda couple I could shoot with for hours: fun, laid back, and up for letting me experiment! As a photographer, sometimes I get a chance to do new and different things and other times I just gotta stick with what I know. They braved the cold wintry air as we shot a few around Ohio State’s south campus, and then we headed across the street to McFadden’s … where management was kind enough to let us shoot around for a few! So while they had a drink and an enjoyable Friday evening together, I got to play with some different lighting and compositions!
These are a quick few of my favorites!

I had a great time with you both, Karlyn and Brian – I can’t wait to work with you on your wedding day!
