Hello, soon to be bride or groom!

Chris Aram Photography was voted a Best of Weddings 2011 pick. Thank you to my fantastic brides and grooms!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Chris Aram, and this is my personal blog, which is mostly what happens when I'm behind a lense doing what I really enjoy: making awesome pictures, capturing awesome moments and working with awesome people!

Speaking of awesome things I enjoy, I am happily married to my beautiful wife and really enjoy spending time with her, our two children and our family and friends. Throw in a little PS3, music and eating (too much sometimes), and you've got a pretty good idea of what I like to do.

If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail at chrisaram@hotmail.com or by phone at 614.973.9599.

Please check out my full online portfolio for more details!

A Little Easter Fun

April 5, 2010

Whether you celebrate Easter as a remembrance of Christ’s resurrection, a time to kick back with family and friends, or a time to eat too much food (or maybe all three, like I do, hey! :D ) … I hope you enjoyed this past holiday weekend!

We spent the morning and afternoon with great friends of ours, and I took a few pics of the kids as they set off in hunt for easter eggs … and candy. And coffee cake … oh wait, that was me.

Barbeque and Bikes

August 31, 2009

So this weekend we had some good friends over had a great afternoon of eating way too much food and hanging out together. And we drank a beer or two … or three. And biked with their kids around the neighborhood … Well, I took pictures, the women walked, and Thomas and the kiddos biked. Here are a few pics:

If any one is wondering, my wife is the one who likes to stick her tongue out at people (seems to be a theme on this blog.) Not just at husbands behind cameras but random passerby as well. Her very good friends Linda and Tracy are the ones who know how to smile. :P

Aw, but she really can smile. Duotone, any one?

Kids never cease to amaze me at just how much energy they have. Or maybe it’s how much I don’t have … I’ll blame it on Tracy and her cake.

This is pretty much how I still eat, to this day:

Happy Independence Day

July 5, 2009

The weather was cool but a little bit drizzly, and we had parked a solid mile away. The optimist in me had insisted that I carry my tripod and camera bag in hopes of shooting some fireworks pictures … though the pessimist in me laughed along with my wife, feeling that this rain would never let up. (For the record, my wife was laughing because I looked like a dork trucking this stuff around the high school stadium grounds.) We were walking the kids “carnival” area with our good friend Linda and her two boys, who didn’t seem to mind the long lines in anticipation of the inflatable castle.

And at 9:50, the Dublin city fireworks display was scheduled to begin.

Apparently, this is where our high property taxes go … but it turned out to be money well spent. We enjoyed the show, the festivities and the Four Tops concert (we just missed Boyz II Men; talk about high school flashbacks!), and I am happy to say that yes, the rain did let up … just in time, as if on cue.

Happy fourth of July to everyone, and may we be thankful for the freedoms and quality of life we so often take for granted!

Our First House

June 30, 2009

I don’t normally talk a lot about my personal life on this blog, preferring to keep it about photography and things of interest to my readers (thank you all, now stand up and take a bow!) But every once in awhile, something really cool happens that I feel like sharing and hey, you’re here because you’re interested, right?

So as you’ve figured out by now given the title (so much for building anticipation) … today, Toni and I bought our first house together! We are super excited to move in to our new place, which will feel like a palace in comparison to the small, furnished apartment that has been our home since we moved to Columbus three short months ago. But I’m not complaining; looking back, I know we are blessed to have had a roof over our heads and the provisions that we enjoy in life.

Since I have no pictures of our new abode, and this is after all a photography blog, here’s a picture of what my wife and I will be drinking tonight to celebrate. Happy Tuesday to you all and really, I promise to get back to posting more regularly soon!

Columbus Brewing Co. ... youll never go back to your American brew beer.
